THE MILK THEORY

A long time ago (2015) in a galaxy far, far away (San Antonio, Texas), four high school friends decided to form a band, as four high school friends often do. Thus, The Milk Theory was born. Over the course of the crazy 8 years leading up to the present, TMT has seen more change than the inside of a cash register, from sound and style to lineup and location. A few things, however, remain the same: the band's collective passion for music as emotional expression, using a good old DIY approach to art and performance, and a continued dedication to confusing the hell out of people.

The Milk Theory views genre as a spectrum. Whether listeners hear the music as rock, alt-rock, indie, punk, emo-indie-alternative-country-mathrock, garage rock, or garbage rock, or anything in between, the string that holds every sound together is -- don't laugh for real I'm being serious -- friendship. The band's connection with each other and with the audience is the most important thing. When you go to a TMT show, you don't just go for the music, you go for the awesome people that are also going to be there. Creating a loving community through music is the greatest privilege any band could have, and we at The Milk Theory are constantly indebted to the dedication of our fans.

Support from our friends and the local music scene has been the foundation of our successes. Playing so many shows, collaborating with incredible artists, and creating our own venue in our rehearsal space The Shack has all been made possible by the people around us. This love has also resulted in the release of the full length album Interrobang (2018), which brought us on a tour all over Texas, the release of the songs Love Strong and Alone (2021), and an upcoming tour of the south in Fall 2023. See ya then?
